Some Important Table Manners to Teach Your Kids

Table manners are some important manners you must start teaching your kids when they are quite young. This will save your kids from embarrasement when they are outside home with friends. These basic manners ,you teach your kids at home ,stays with them for life and help them in building a good personality.

Here are some basic dining etiquette s your kids must know

  • Wash your hands before having any meal
  • Never go shabbily dressed to the dinning table
  • Never keep your elbow on the table
  • Always offer to help whatever you can do in laying the table
  • Always use spoon and fork to eat
  • Never use your fingers to push food in your mouth or on the spoon from the plate
  • Do not over bend across the table to pick anything like salt or pickle etc. Use Polite words on the dining table
  • Do not just gobble food and finish off before others. Chew it nicely and slowly.
  • Keep the water at the right side of the plate
  • Always eat and chew your food with your mouth closed. Never make noise while eating and chewing food
  • Do not fill your mouth with food
  • Keep your mobile away and don’t use while eating
  • Never drink water with water bottle directly

These are some table manners you must start teaching your kids when they are quite young.

    Every parents must be aware of basic table manner and realize it’s importance for their child.
    Table manner is a form of self discipline and a self disciplined child can add an edge to his personality and loved every where.

    Few more can be added like not talking with mouth full of food
    Belching hard while others are still eating
    Making too much noise while using cutleries
    If children are taught from childhood to avoid these things they will certainly display a dignified personality in crowd
